*16*TURQUOISE/KYANITE/GASPEITE/RAMONA MOORE/18

THIS NEWEST CREATION COMBINES THE EXQUISIT OLD GREEN TURQUOISE FROM A MINE IN NEVADA, THAT IS NOW CLOSED. IT IS PAIRED WITH THE GEMMY IRIDESCENCE OF BLUE KYANITE, SET IN A STERLING SILVER & GOLD PLATED DESIGN THAT SHOWS ITS TRUE BEAUTY.

BECAUSE BEADS OF THE OLD TURQUOISE ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND, I PAIRED IT WITH GASPEITE, FROM AUSTRALIA - ANOTHER STONE THAT IS NOW HIGHLY PRIZED, FOR ITS UNUSUAL COLOR, (YELLOW-GREEN).

THE STERLING SILVER BEADS THAT I USED ARE OLD, BUT NOT ANTIQUE,

NAVAJO (DINE') STERLING SILVER BEADS.

RATHER THAN POLISH THEM TO A HIGH LUSTER, I CHOSE TO LEAVE ONLY THE EDGES POLISHED, AND THE OTHER SURFACES SLIGHTLY TARNISHED, IN KEEPING WITH TRADITION.

THE CLASP IS A STERLING SILVER 'S' CONFIGURATION, LARGE AND SITUATED FOR A RIGHT-HANDED PERSON, EASY TO PUT ON AND REMOVE.

THE LONGEST STRAND IS 18", WITH EACH SHORTER STRAND BEING ABOUT 2" SHORTER THAN THE 18".
