*4*FOSSILS ARE METAMORPHOSIS IN ACTON. RAMONA MOORE 2/2/2022

Finding fossils at an early age prompted my keen interest in all things relating to those who have gone before. We do not normally associate bones, teeth and other traces of dinosaurs, as being crafted into wearable art. Excluding human remains, of course.

All matter emanates a form of energy that can be felt. In this case, the wooly mammoth molar was deposited into an area that we have accessed. He trundled this earth long enough to be counted among those that did not survive the great ice age. But I feel his ancestors reside with us to this day.

Carefully considering the perfect pairing with the blues, greens and yellows, the stone

CHRYSOCOLLA seems the match fit for the giant creature that roamed the earth long ago.

The black beads are BLACK LIPPED MUSSEL SHELL. I felt the "WOOLY" needed company

that was closer to his natural element.

CHRYSOCOLLA, much like the minerals in the fossilized tooth, contain copper, iron and

other elements that produce their vibrant colors.

It is the stone that connects the heart to the throat, the communication between ones most

intimate thoughts and ones most cherished feelings.

All SHELLS are proof that if an invertebrate can manifest a home out of sand and spit, so can

we create as well an existence befitting our needs.
